New additions to Claudia Pearson's Ebb + Flow series as Moroccan rugs
August 18, 2021
I'm so thrilled to announce we have continued working with illustrator Claudia Pearson to create a whole new set of Moroccan rugs based on her Ebb + Flow series! Moving away from the original black and white color scheme, these new pieces incorporate colorful shades into the abstract pattern inspired by rock towers.
First up we have this absolutely gorgeous creation in shades of blush pink! The subtle color changes between background and foreground add a different dimension to the abstract design.
This piece is a smaller 4' x 6' rug, however all of these pieces are available for custom reproduction in larger sizes. We are currently working on a custom version of this pink rug as an 8' x 10' rug. Here's a little taste of the blueprints that go into the making of these collaborative projects:
We also worked on another iteration of this piece in shades of yellow. This rug flew off the shelves, but is available to be remade as a custom piece in a different shape or size! For more information about custom rug design, check out our page where we discuss the ins and outs of designing your own custom Moroccan rug.

Along the top and bottom of the rug will be small sections of Zanafi flatweave which will frame the central designs, emphasizing them as works of art. Take a look at these blueprints for the upcoming creations:
Here is a statement from the artist on her continued progression with this series:
"As Ebb+Flow shifted and expanded in the past year, new meaning behind the work emerged. The monochromatic paintings gave way to color as some lightness returned to life. The structure of the cairns remain, but the focus is more abstracted. The positive and negative spaces now appear more sharply, revealing the duality of light and dark. It's this tension that [Claudia] continues to experience and explore through her creative practices."
