This rug is woven in the traditional Tifelt style, commonly found in Morocco's Middle Atlas mountains. It's a tightly woven flatweave rug, making it ideal for high traffic areas. This is a vintage piece whose colors have faded in some parts to a diffused red, blue, and ochre color. This rug would work well in a kitchen, bathroom, entranceway, or place it next to your bed as a bedside runner.

The simplest, time-tested method is straight from Morocco: hang your rug in the sun for a few hours, then shake it out well before bringing it back inside. This regular airing out is the best way to keep your rug fresh and dust-free. Beyond that, care depends on the rug’s material and construction. For instance cotton boucherouites are the easiest to clean - just throw them in the washing machine on a gentle cycle and air dry. Longer pile rugs should be vacuumed with care.
