Overview:

This is a vintage piece featuring the traditional Glaoui colorway and textural details. Glaoui rugs are known for three types of weaving that were woven into a single rug -- there are parts of this rug that are thicker, knotted sections, parts that are flat-woven, often embellished with embroidered designs, and there are long thin Zanafi bands that are woven through the rug and tuft out of either side. This rug could be used as an entranceway rug, a bedside rug, or as the centerpiece in a smaller space.
