Moroccan boucherouite rugs were traditionally made from clothing, cut into strips, and knotted into rugs. Nowadays, they’re also made from cotton fibers. Since very few of these rugs are made with wool, they’re easy to clean in the washing machine, making them ideal for homes with small kids and pets.
We teamed up with our artisan partners to bring you these modern and colorful pillows made from Moroccan rugs. They are bold accent pieces that will brighten up your home. Use these pillows to decorate your living room couch, add some flavor to a favorite armchair, or make it the crown jewel in your bedroom.
These Moroccan poufs are made with a mix of flatweave rugs, vintage blankets, and hand-knotted pile rugs. They can be purchased unstuffed and you can stuff it yourself with inserts you source, old clothing, and blankets. They can also be purchased with either a sturdy foam filling, or with feather inserts. The poufs with the foam are more rigid and better for additional seating, but if you're looking for a more organic look (or for a dog bed!), the feather insert is ideal.
